Two great movies Laal Singh Chaddha and Raksha Bandhanheadlined by superstars Aamir Khan and Akshay Kumar respectively, was released in theaters on August 11. Laal Singh Chaddha, produced by Aamir Khan Productions, Kiran Rao and Viacom18 Studios, starring Aamir Khan Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh and Chaitanya Akkineni. In the meantime, Raksha Bandhan is captained by Aanand L Rai and stars Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar.

In this box office report we take a look at the business of Laal Singh Chaddha and Raksha Bandhan, while dividing the same into collections generated from national multiple chains. Both films did not generate the collections expected, although the buzz around the films was through the roof. Shows are now canceled and replaced with other movies, while the holiday season hasn’t worked in either movie’s favor.
