Delhi Supreme Court on Thursday banned 23 “rogue websites” from illegally distributing, streaming, rebroadcasting, displaying and downloading the upcoming Akshay Kumar starrer Ram Setucto prevent piracy. The producer had filed a lawsuit for copyright infringement.

“Defendants Nos. 1 through 23 (rogue websites) and anyone else acting for and/or on their behalf may host, stream, transmit, display, make available for viewing and downloading, access and/or communicating to the public, displaying, uploading, modifying, publishing, updating and/or sharing (including to its subscribers and users) on their websites via the internet or any other platform, the movie ‘Ram Setu’ and the content related thereto , to infringe on the plaintiff’s exclusive rights and copyrights thereto, until the next hearing date,” the court ordered, as reported by Bar and Bench.
Single Judge Jyoti Singh approved the injunction stating that the producer had made a “significant investment in the film and that it would seriously harm their financial interests if the rogue websites were allowed to host the same.” The Delhi High Court has also ordered the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY) to issue notices to the various Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to block access to these fraudulent websites.
A day ago Akshay Kumar launched the song ‘Jai Shree Ram’ from the film at a major event in Mumbai. This song is sung and composed by Vikram Montrose and written by Shekhar Astitwa. The song was mixed and mastered by Eric Pillai of Future Sound Of Bombay and accompanied by Azeem Dayani. Akshay had a pleasant surprise waiting for him as the Ram Setuc team brought up the karaoke version of the national anthem and invited him to sing on stage with his fans and media. The team also organized a special lunch for the media who served traditional Diwali thali to bring festive joy. Also attending the event were director Abhishek Sharma and producers Vikram Malhotra and Manish Menghani of Prime Video.
The story of Ram SetucWritten and directed by Abhishek Sharma, it centers on an atheist archaeologist turned believer, Aryan Kulshrestha (Akshay Kumar), who must race against time to prove the true existence of the legendary Ram Setu before evil forces destroy the Pillar. destroying India’s heritage.

Ram Setuc will be distributed in theaters worldwide by Zee Studios. Ram Setuc is scheduled to release this Diwali on October 25, 2022.
