Dr. Who shares the first look of Ruby Sunday as Nakuti Gatwa’s Doctor Millie Gibson

Fans of the long-running British sci-fi series “Dr. Whose” have been treated to a first look at Ruby Sunday, her next Doctor and companion.

In photos shared by the show’s Twitter account on Saturday, Nkuti Gatwa, who stars as the series’ 15th Doctor, can be seen wearing a brown plaid jacket and trousers with an orange shirt, while Millie Gibson’s Ruby Sunday sported a jean jacket, white top and blue shorts.

In a video posted in a separate tweet, the pair can be seen hyping each other as they go around on the sets.

“Everyone ready? Is the world ready? Seated? Are you seated? I’m going to introduce you all to Ruby Sunday!” Gatwa said, turning Gibson’s pose further. “Get ready! There he is! There you go, girl!

Gibson proceeds to handle the camera and takes a closer look at Gatwa’s outfit.

“It’s the doctor’s eye,” she said. “over and out!”

“Ready to start filming!” Gatwa said.

The 30-year-old, who previously starred in “Sex Education,” will replace Jodie Whittaker, the first female doctor on the series.

“There are not enough words to describe how I feel. A mixture of extremely honored, extremely excited and definitely a little scared.” BBC News earlier this year. “This role and show have meant so much to so many people around the world, including myself, and each of my incredibly talented predecessors has handled that unique responsibility and privilege with the utmost care. I will try my best to do so…Unlike the Doctor, I may have only one heart but I am giving my all to this show.’

Gatva and Gibson will take over the TARDIS in 2023. But before they do, David Tennant and Catherine Tate will be back to celebrate the show’s 60th anniversary.
