Karan Mehra and Nisha Rawal have entered a bitter divorce since the actress filed a domestic violence complaint against her husband last year. He was arrested by the police, but was later released on bail. As the estranged couple wage their legal battle, Karan collapsed when he revealed that he had no information about his son Kavish for the past year. “Nobody has any idea and my neighbor doesn’t see him either. The frequency of spotting my son has become zero this whole year because they don’t see him anywhere. I don’t know what he’s going through. But I think I’ll get to him very soon will meet. The divorce is still ongoing,” Karan told Siddharth Kanan. Karan further revealed that it has been 15 months since he met his son. The last time he met Kavish was a day before Diwali last year and they only interacted for 5 minutes. He said he spent his and his son’s two birthdays alone and there has been no communication since then. The Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai star also said that his son Kavish has become afraid of cameras, which is strange because he loved being in front of cameras. Speaking of his legal battle, Karan said all kinds of pressures have been added, be it financial, physical or mental, but he has chosen to fight.

“I’m fighting alone. I’m alone today and I’m fighting against all odds because it’s for my parents and my brother, my son. What kind of father, brother or son would I be if I didn’t fight for them?” he added.

On June 25, 2021, Nisha had made allegations not only against Karan, but also against his relatives Kunal Mehra, Bela Mehra and Ajay Mehra. Apart from the allegation of violence against Nisha, the complaint states that Karan has withdrawn more than Rs 1 crore from her bank account. In a press conference, Nisha then also made allegations of extramarital affair against Karan.
