Filmmaker Karan Johar is back on the coffee bench! Season 7 of Coffee With Karan started on Disney+ Hotstar with Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani with Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, followed by actresses Janhvi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan as guests in the second episode. As the crowds around the show mounted, the Koffee With Karan couch saw Akshay Kumar and Samantha Ruth Prabhu deliver a lively pot of glamour, secrets and witty one-liners.

When Karan Johar asked Akshay Kumar, “Do you think you fought nepotism?” He said he didn’t even understand what the word meant when he got into the industry. “I didn’t even know the meaning of favoritism. I asked my wife (Twinkle Khanna) and then she explained it to me. Then I saw the whole struggle. When I got into the industry I had no idea, I just wanted make money money.”

Akshay Kumar recalled taking Rs. 5,000 for teaching martial arts, but when he got an ad shoot, he was paid Rs. 21,000 for two hours of work.

On the work front, Akshay Kumar will next be seen in Aanand L Rai’s next direction, Raksha Bandhan. The film will be released on August 11.
