CBS’s new game show “Lingo,” hosted by “RuPaul’s Drag Race” royalty RuPaul himself, notched 3 million viewers for its Wednesday premiere.
As viewers watched four teams face off in a word-twisting game show to score the $50,000 jackpot prize, “Lingo” scored a 0.45 rating in the prime demo during its 9 p.m. – 8 p.m. airings. A little less than “The price is right at night.”

Here’s how primetime broke down across the major broadcast networks:
According to official Live+ same-day Nielsen data, NBC was first with an average 0.64 rating in the main demo and an average of 6.4 million total viewers. NBC’s “Chicago” franchise drew an average of 6.8 million viewers at 8 p.m. with “Chicago Made” and earned a ratings score of 0.62 before “Chicago Fire” achieved the evening’s highest viewership and ratings at 9 p.m. 6.8 million viewers and an average rating of 0.67. “Chicago PD” closed the night with an average of 5.4 million viewers and a ratings score of 0.62.
CBS was second in the ratings with an average of 0.44 in the demo and averaged 3.3 million in total viewers. “The Price Is Right at Night” at 8:00 p.m. attracted 4.8 million total viewers and scored a 0.58 in the ratings – up slightly from the previous week’s airing, which garnered 4.4 million viewers and earned a 0.51 rating. After “Lingo” premiered at 9 p.m., “Tough as Nails” closed the evening with 1.9 million viewers and a ratings score of 0.28.
ABC was third in the ratings with an average of 0.38 in the demo and 2.7 million in total viewers. While “The Conners” debuted at 8:00 pm with an average of 4.1 million viewers and a 0.59 rating, “The Goldbergs” averaged 2.6 million viewers and a 0.42 rating during its 8:30 pm time slot. Slight reduction in numbers. Strong returned for a new episode of “Abbott Elementary” at 9:00 p.m., which attracted an audience of 2.9 million and a rating score of 0.51. The premiere of “Name That Tune” at 8:00 pm received 1.7 million viewers and scored a 0.35 in the ratings, while a new episode of “Special Forces” at 9:00 pm earned a viewership of 1.8 and an average rating of 0.37. ,
The CW was fifth in the ratings with an average of 0.05 in the demo and an average of 405,000 in total viewers. The network began the night with reruns of “Penn & Teller: Fool Us” at 8 p.m. PT, which garnered 579,000 viewers and a ratings score of 0.08, followed by reruns of “Kung Fu” at 9 p.m. PT. before ending with the broadcast at :00 p.m., which brought in 232,000 viewers and averaged a 0.03 rating.

Among Spanish-language networks, Univision came in first with a 0.5 rating in demos and 1.5 million total average viewers in primetime. “Vencer la Oceania” debuted at 8 p.m., with a total viewership of 1.4 million and an average rating score of 0.4. “Me Camino es Amarte” which aired at 9 p.m. brought in 1.5 million viewers and earned an average 0.5 ratings score before “Cabo” aired at 10 p.m., which brought in 1.5 million viewers and averaged 0.5 ratings.
Telemundo came in second in ratings in both the demo and total viewership, earning an average 0.2 ratings score and bringing in 936,000 average total viewers. “Exatlón Estados Unidos,” which ran from 7 pm to 9 pm, attracted an average viewership of 1.1 million and earned a ratings score of 0.3. “La Reina del Sur” arrived at 9 p.m., receiving an average total of 932,000 viewers and earning a 0.3 rating. With a total viewership of 755,000 and an average ratings score of 0.2, “Amor y Tración” closed at 10 p.m.
