“Something has to be done. You are polluting the minds of the young generation of this country…”, said a bench of judges Ajay Rastogi and CT Ravikumar. Senior lawyer Mukul Rohatgi, who represents Ekta Kapoor, was pleased that a similar plea was filed before the Patna High Court and the highest court had previously granted protections to Kapoor. The bank said it does not appreciate a plea being brought to the highest court every time and added that it would charge a fee for filing such a petition. It asked Rohatgi to convey this to his client, stressing that the highest court works for those who have no voice.

The highest court heard a plea from Kapoor against the arrest warrants issued against her for allegedly insulting soldiers and hurting the feelings of their families in the web series on her OTT platform ALTBalaji. The bank noted, “We’ve seen the order and we have our reservations.”

The highest court has also kept the case under review and has recommended that a local lawyer be contacted to inquire about the status of the hearing in the Supreme Court.

A court in Begusarai in Bihar had issued the injunction on a 2020 complaint filed by Shambhu Kumar, an ex-serviceman, who alleged that XXX (season 2) contained several offensive scenes related to the soldier’s wife.
